1. Agreement
By creating an account or using Netfolio ("the Service") at netfolio.no, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Netfolio.
2. The Service
Netfolio is a personal wealth management platform that allows you to:
- Track investment portfolios, transactions, and dividends
- Monitor net worth across all asset classes
- Record properties, vehicles, pension accounts, and private equity
- Use AI-powered tools for portfolio analysis and data import
- Receive financial summaries and notifications
Netfolio is a tracking and visualization tool only. We do not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, or tax advice. Always consult a qualified professional for financial, investment, or tax decisions.
3. Eligibility
To use Netfolio you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using financial services in your jurisdiction
- Provide accurate registration information
4. Account
4.1 Registration
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of this information.
4.2 Security
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your password confidential
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access at hello@operta.io
We recommend using a strong, unique password and enabling any available security features.
4.3 One account per person
Each person may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits is prohibited.
5. Subscription Plans
5.1 Free Plan
The Free plan is available at no cost and includes limited features as described on our pricing page. We reserve the right to modify Free plan limits with 30 days notice.
5.2 Pro Plan
The Pro plan is available for NOK 99/month or NOK 950/year (exclusive of VAT). Features are as described on our pricing page at the time of subscription.
5.3 Billing
- Monthly subscriptions are billed on the same date each month
- Annual subscriptions are billed once per year
- All prices are stated exclusive of VAT and applicable local taxes
- Payment is processed securely — we do not store payment card details
5.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused portions of a billing period.
5.5 Refunds
We offer a full refund within 14 days of initial subscription purchase if you are not satisfied. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion. Contact hello@operta.io to request a refund.
5.6 Price changes
We will notify you at least 30 days before any price increase. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Provide false or misleading financial data
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Circumvent security measures or access controls
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service
- Upload malicious code or files
7. Your Data
7.1 Ownership
You own all financial data you enter into Netfolio. We do not claim ownership of your data.
7.2 License to us
By using Netfolio, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely to provide the Service to you. We do not use your data for any other purpose.
7.3 Accuracy
You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter. Netfolio displays information based on what you provide and live market data from third-party sources. We are not responsible for errors resulting from inaccurate data you have entered.
7.4 Export and deletion
You may export your data at any time via Settings → Export All Data. You may delete your account and all associated data via Settings → Delete Account.
8. Third-Party Services
Netfolio integrates with third-party services including:
- Yahoo Finance — for live price data
- ExchangeRate-API — for currency conversion
- Groq — for AI assistant features
We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or changes to these third-party services. Market data provided is for informational purposes only and may be delayed or inaccurate.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Netfolio is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Accuracy or completeness of financial data
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- Fitness for any particular financial purpose
- Results from using the Service
Netfolio does not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Nothing in the Service constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any investment.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Netfolio shall not be liable for:
- Any financial losses resulting from use of the Service
- Decisions made based on information displayed in the Service
- Inaccuracies in third-party market data
- Service interruptions or data loss
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Norwegian consumer protection law may provide rights that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these terms limits such statutory rights.
11. Intellectual Property
Netfolio and all its components — including software, design, content, and trademarks — are owned by Netfolio and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
12. Termination
12.1 By you
You may terminate your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account.
12.2 By us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in fraudulent activity
- Fail to pay subscription fees after reasonable notice
- Provide false registration information
We will provide reasonable notice before termination where possible, except in cases of serious violations.
12.3 Effect of termination
Upon termination, your access to the Service ceases immediately. Your data will be deleted within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you by email and in-app notification at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Norwegian courts, specifically the Oslo District Court (Oslo tingrett).
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
